NanoScape’s customers benefit
from an established technology
platform covering proprietary materials, synthesis techniques and application
methodology. This expertise flows into
products ranging from catalysts through filters to adsorbers,
and impinges upon areas such as industrial
chemical production, packaging for pharmaceuticals and electronic components,
heat exchangers, water purification systems and photovoltaic devices.
Synthesis NanoScape's extensive materials know-how is supported
by proprietary synthesis technologies for NanoZeolites
and NanoOxides, coupled with an innovative purification
technology
for these NanoMaterials. NanoScape's NanoMaterials
are made using hydrothermal synthesis, crystallization
and sol-gel preparation techniques.
Dispersion NanoMaterial powders can
be readily suspended in aqueous or alcoholic media.
After suitable modification powders can be dispersed
into various monomer or polymer types.
Coating Using stable, colloidal NanoMaterial
suspensions, thin films (down to one monolayer thickness)
can be produced on a variety of substrates, such as:
glass, ceramic, metal and polycarbonate. Furthermore,
NanoScape has developed specific Dip-coating and spin-coating
techniques.
Encapsulation NanoScape has developed certain
preparation techniques which allow encapsulation of
functional molecules, e.g. dyes, within the porous structure
of its NanoZeolites. Slow-release and triggered release
mechanisms for such host-guest systems have also been
developed.
Characterization A host of modern characterization
techniques are used in the development of the nanomaterials,
including:
- Scanning & Transmission Electron Microscopy
(SEM / TEM)- for morphology and particle size analysis
- Powder X-Ray Diffraction - crystallinity assessment
of solid, phase purity
- Dynamic Light Scattering - particle size analysis
in suspension
- N2-Adsorption - surface area and pore size /
pore volume determination
