NanoScape's portfolio of nanocrystalline
materials all share the same fundamental properties:
- very small particle
size
- highly porous
- dispersible in water
- non toxic
They form a highly flexible materials
platform from which, through structural modification and surface functionalisation,
further tailor-made products can be realized.
Their properties and compositional
flexibility make NanoScape's materials suitable for a wide range of industrial
applications.
Their porosity, large surface area and
surface chemistry make them ideal for use in
- Heat pumps and heat exchangers
- Polymeric membranes
- Ceramic membranes
- Catalysts
Furthermore, with their small size and functionalized
surfaces they are well suited as:
- thin-film
coatings on foils (polymer, aluminium), ceramic or glass
- polymer
additives (foil extrusion; injection moulding; compounding)
As encapsulating
hosts for dyes and other functional molecules, they increase the stability
of the individual compound whilst enhancing their compatibility with
hydrophilic and hydrophobic matrices, so broadening their range of application.
